After attempting to teach the evils of meat to your children, there was a 143 million pound recall that was TOO LATE for your kids in this school system. USDA announced the recall for fears of Mad Cow Disease. I was fired for trying to warn the kids and if just one of them gets Crutxfeld-Jacob disease which is the human form of mad cow disease, who are we to blame? How sad it would be if one Fox River Grove child, just one child gets a brain wasting disease through your fault? It is called spongiform encephalitis for a good reason. The brain turns into a sponge. I know what you are thinking. It cannot happen here. It cannot happen here. It cannot happen here. USDA thought it serious enough to recall the potentially poisoned meat AFTER OUR KIDS ATE IT! I tried warning you with my peep project in April of 2007 and I was forced to be silent about such matters. Then again, I presented the administration proof that milk causes a whole host of diseases. This information was again ignored.

The FRG Board of Education chose to devote their time and energy firing a tenured Illinois teacher of 10 years instead of removing a milk mustache poster. The district lawyer, Mr. Riley provided a bogus/inaudible cassette recording of the Sept. 24th proceedings (which would have detailed how 105 ILCS was blatantly disregarded - no transcripts were made and the tape Mr. Riley produced is inaudible) only after Mr. Suntrup ordered them to produce the transcripts just before he died. Mr. Riley to this day has not provided transcripts from the Sept 24th meeting. I sincerely hope the new hearing officer will be equally outraged as Mr. Suntrup was at their lack of compliance with his order. I have been in touch with the Illinois State Board of Education and the States Attorney to intervene in these matters.

This story is being suppressed by local newspapers. Please let other concerned parents and teachers know how this information is being hidden from you and the children. Some of you have surely eaten a school lunch. Maybe even on Jerry's famed "Nacho Day". Turns out, 384 lbs of recalled meat from Westland was made into taco meat and fed to our children and maybe you at Fox River Grove Middle School in April and the months after of 2007. You can confirm this with Jim Copp, Principal Consultant Division of Nutrition Programs and Support Services Illinois State Board of Education. Of course he will down play the risk - do not believe it! Although the meat has been recalled, our Fox River Grove children may have already been infected with a prion particle from an infected animal. Scientists have suggested that the incubation for this encephalitis-like brain disease (Bovine Spongiform Encephalitis (BSE) or Mad Cow Disease) can be many years. Mad Cow is like a ticking time bomb. The children might already be infected and their symptoms might not appear until they are young adults... Do not say that SOMEBODY did not try to warn them. Who is responsible? The government, parents, or the school system?

Each FRG Board member signed for the following concerning the Fox River Grove children and their health, namely the diseases which are commonly prevented, consistently improved, and sometimes cured by a low-fat vegetarian diet including but not limited too: Strokes, Heart disease, Osteoporosis, Kidney Stones, Colon cancer, Prostate cancer, Pancreatic cancer, Ovarian cancer, Cervical cancer, Stomach cancer, Endometrial cancer, Breast cancer, Hypoglycemia, Diabetes, Kidney disease, Peptic ulcers, Constipation, Hemorrhoids, Hiatal hernias, Diverticulosis, Obesity, Gallstones, Hypertension, Asthma, Salmonellosis, Trichinosis, Irritable colon syndrome. They chose to ignore this data as well as the recent 384 lbs of recalled downer beef. Still to this day, the FRG School District 3 serves innocent children corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and taco meat. Milk brings a whole host of nasty ailments; and yet, you choose to ignore this data and continue business as usual. 

Schools are not businesses. You have sold your own children out on all accounts. You are liable. Are you ready to defend a lawsuit against the district every time there is a recall? Are you ready to defend yourself when a child on your lunch program develops type II diabetes? Your best defense is to get honest real fast and cut meat and dairy from the school lunch. Cutting out beef alone is not enough, as there are whole hosts of diseases associated with animal products of any kind. Animals were never food. We were raised wrong. We are now teaching wrong. Stop serving our Fox River Grove children death and misery. Start teaching Humane Education. Fox River Grove School District #3 is wasting the town’s monies and Illinois State monies and everyone’s time in hopes to hide their disregard for others.

Fox River Grove School District 3 chooses to ignore the Federal Trade Commission’s ruling against misleading commercial advertising in schools. I am being terminated for my response to the pro-dairy propaganda in the school cafeteria in which, I, as an Art Teacher, was educating students about the power of advertising in the Visual Arts. Specifically, how the Meat and Dairy Industry uses its influence to shape and guide the values and morals of society through indoctrination.

In retaliation of Dave Warwak’s performance of his official duties and in an attempt to avoid compliance and/or legal action regarding their neglect in addressing ILSC violations and other Child Endangerment issues, Jackie Krause, Timothy Mahaffy, and the Fox River Grove School District 3 Board of Education Members***, knowingly and willfully, exposed Dave Warwak to hatred, contempt, and ridicule, while Warwak was engaged in the execution of his official duties, in which, said members prevented the defendant from performing his official duties. Below (in red strikethrough text) is a copy of the press release the Fox River Board of Education gave to the press after they had armed police officers escort me off of the school grounds. Most of their version I disputed on record (records and transcripts they have destroyed) and is unsubstantiated hearsay and lies. Fox River Grove School District #3 willingly chose to ignore my concerns and instead devoted their efforts to terminate my employment.

After a long executive session, where Mr. Warwak was again invited to address the Board away from the audience and the media, the Board voted 7-0 to dismiss Warwak. They issued a press release that detailed the reasons for Warwak's termination:

1. Warwak had stopped teaching art and without telling the board, the Principal, the superintendent, or the students’ parents, converted his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights. The board stressed that Warwak did not merely mention his vegan beliefs during his classes or casually mix in comments about animal rights during art projects, but rather from the beginning of the school year, he dedicated his instruction to preaching to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders that eating meat, milk, and animal products was bad and that following a vegan lifestyle was good. According to the board, Warwak spent entire classes on veganism and animal rights, telling students that animals were tortured to make the meat they ate, assuring them that they would live ten years longer if they became vegans and having students read aloud from books advocating veganism. He also distributed tracts published by "PETA" and "Vegan Outreach" and directed students to Google terms such as "slaughtering" and "factory farming" which would take them to Web sites with graphic depictions of animals being slaughtered. The board noted that Warwak continued this conduct even after being told by administrators to stop.

2. After converting his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights, Warwak told his students not to tell their parents or teachers or principal about what he was teaching them in his classes. Warwak told his students that parents would be mad, teachers would be mad, and the principal would be mad, so "let’s keep it a secret."

3. Warwak repeatedly refused to answer questions from administrators and the district’s lawyer about what he had been teaching and what literature he had distributed to students. On Monday, September 10, 2007, Warwak left a meeting set up by the district to interview him regarding parents’ complaints about what was being taught in his art classes. Warwak walked out of that meeting without answering the district’s questions, saying, "I don’t like this at all. It’s not about me and I refuse to participate in this [expletive]."

Board President Pat Hughes said, "Warwak shouldn’t have secretly turned his art classroom into a zone of indoctrination. This is a democracy and other people have a say over the curriculum. Mr. Warwak shouldn't be allowed to impose his personal views on a captive audience."

Board Vice-President Steve Knar said, "The Board respects the right of all employees to follow their own belief systems and respects the diverse opinions of the individuals who make up our school community. This isn’t about whether veganism is good or bad. It’s about the right of the district to be informed about the instruction taking place in the classroom and its ability to control the curriculum. What Mr. Warwak could not do, and remain an employee of the district, was to unilaterally turn his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights, tell his students not to tell their parents about it, and then refuse to answer the district's questions about what was going on in his classes." 

Timothy Mahaffy, as acting Principal, knowingly and willfully prevented Dave Warwak from performing his said duties as described under (105 ILCS 5/27-12)(from Ch. 122, par. 27-12)

Sec. 27-12. Character education. Every public school teacher shall teach character education, which includes the teaching of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness, and citizenship, in order to raise pupils’ honesty, kindness, justice, discipline, respect for others, and moral courage for the purpose of lessening crime and raising the standard of good character.

Sec. 27-15. Moral and humane education - In institute programs. The superintendent of each region and city shall include once each year moral and humane education in the program of the teachers’ institute which is held under his supervision.

Warwak had stopped teaching art [flat-out lie] and without telling the board [teachers don’t submit lesson plans to the board], the Principal [I told the Principal exactly what I was doing - he participated in the lessons!], the superintendent [she also knew full well of events], or the students’ parents [I told students to learn about it and educate their friends and parents], converted [I incorporated real world issues within the discipline of Art Education] his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights [Art classes with Art lessons incorporating, advertising, consumerism, animals, veganism, pollution, factory farming, diet, peace, love, compassion, and whatever other real world issue I can connect with Art to get students thinking for themselves about issues that matter to them] The board stressed that Warwak did not merely mention his vegan beliefs during his classes or casually mix in comments about animal rights during art projects, but rather from the beginning of the school year [another flat-out lie - I was fired after day 1 of my "Power of Advertising" project which was the only animal rights issue I brought up only out of their refusal to even discuss the removal of the Milk Mustache posters hanging in the school cafeteria despite the FCC Ruling], he dedicated his instruction to preaching [I am a teacher, not a preacher] to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders that eating meat, milk, and animal products was bad and that following a vegan lifestyle was good. According to the board, Warwak spent entire classes on veganism and animal rights [once again, this was only one day, this school year], telling students that animals were tortured to make the meat they ate [even though a true statement, these are not my words - unsubstantiated hearsay that the FRG Board of Education is liable for], assuring them that they would live ten years longer if they became vegans and having students read aloud from books [another flat-out lie. I never had them read aloud - I hate when teachers do that - I simply purchased my students non-fiction books, The Food Revolution, as a gift. It was to be taken home and theirs to keep. Some parents had their children burn the books] advocating veganism. He also distributed tracts published by "PETA" and "Vegan Outreach" and directed students to Google terms such as "slaughtering" [out-right lie, but not a bad idea - I never told students to look up "slaughtering"] and "factory farming" which would take them to Web sites with graphic depictions of animals being slaughtered. The board noted that Warwak continued this conduct even after being told by administrators to stop. [lie, they said stop, but refused to put their non-negotiable directive in writing and sent me home (they checked with their lawyer and found they were asking me to do something illegal) and instead thought it easier just to fire me than to discuss the real issues of today’s youth. After converting [again, my classes always are Art classes with Art lessons that incorporate the issues of today’s youth] his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights [and consumerism, advertising (Art), reality, compassion, peace, respect, responsibility, caring, pollution, starvation, the healthcare crisis, war, school shootings, cruelty, environment], Warwak told his students not to tell their parents or teachers or principal about what he was teaching them in his classes. 3. Warwak repeatedly refused to answer questions [they repeatedly refused to answer one single question of mine. I had asked that the Board of Education be present, but they were absent] from administrators and the district’s lawyer about what he had been teaching and what literature he had distributed to students. On Monday, September 10, 2007, Warwak left a meeting set up by the district to interview him regarding parents’ complaints about what was being taught in his art classes. Warwak walked out of that meeting without answering the district's questions, saying, "I don’t like this at all. It's not about me and I refuse to participate in this [expletive]." [the expletive was bullshit and it really was. The 10 September, 2007 meeting was an interrogation in which I was not allowed to ask one single question. They wanted to make this about me to distract from the real issues and ultimately hide their gross dereliction of duties and other egregious crimes against humanity so they may continue their support of the death industries at the poor children’s expense]

Board President Pat Hughes said, "Warwak shouldn’t have secretly turned his art classroom into a zone of indoctrination. [lies worded to cloud the issues further] This is a democracy [a very corrupt one] and other people [not Vegan Teachers] have a say over the curriculum. Mr. Warwak shouldn't be allowed to impose his personal views on a captive audience." [I wasn't and didn’t, just more slanderous lies carefully crafted to hide the truth]

Board Vice-President Steve Knar said, "The Board respects [the board has no respect for Vegans] the right of all employees [employees have rights, but the administration ignores them] to follow their own belief systems [the Vegan Diet is built on science, not beliefs] and respects the diverse opinions [diverse, but not including Vegan] of the individuals [the administration has zero respect for teachers] who make up our school community. This isn't about whether veganism is good or bad. [yes, it really is all about how great a Vegan diet is, and all its benefits, but, they want to hide this very much and cloud the issue by trying to make this about me] It’s about the right of the district [it's about the lengths that corrupt administrators will go to in embarrassing and shameful attempts to maintain the statusque at all costs] to be informed [the administration refused to listen to me] about the instruction taking place in the classroom and its ability to control the curriculum. [an open-ended curriculum lacking any subject matter or ideas. A curriculum that only deals with materials. This is how they cloud the issue with things they know nothing about, but have strong attitudes of. They want you to think that Art and the curriculum where abandoned, when these things were never deviated from in the slightest. I tried talking with them many times and they refused to discuss the students’ health and the future of our planet] What Mr. Warwak could not do [was not allowed to do], and remain an employee of the district, was to unilaterally turn his art classes into classes on veganism and animal rights  [Art classes are always Art classes and do not magically lose the Art component when the Art lessons to make Artworks incorporate subject matter or ideas relating to advertising, consumerism, animals, veganism, pollution, factory farming, diet, respect, responsibility, compassion, and whatever other real world issue I can connect with Art to get students thinking for themselves about the real issues that matter very much to them], tell his students not to tell their parents about it [this is the same lie they repeat over and over. I obviously don't keep secrets; however, Fox River School District is desperate to hide their dirty little secrets], and then refuse to answer the district’s questions about what was going on in his classes." [more lies. I tried countless times to bring these issues to my superiors; however, not even once, were my concerns addressed. This is the reason I am being fired. They thought it would be easier to fire me than to have to sit down and talk about the students’ health and the future of our planet and act accordingly to be respectful and take responsibility]

 

In the end, this comes down to a very simple set of circumstances and facts.

I was a tenured teacher in the state of Illinois, who for over 8 years never received a written warning for anything. 

The Peep project [http://inslide.com/respect/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=31] and Art show [http://veganica.com/artist/category.php?catid=654] was an attempt to get students to be kind towards animals and ultimately each other. When I saw it offended the adults, I dismantled my Art show and discontinued all projects involving animals for the remainder of the 2006-2007 School year.

The Fox River Grove SD #3 Board of Education has destroyed transcripts of the September 24th meeting. Without these records, I was unable to adequately defend myself in a dispute they filed preventing me from receiving unemployment compensation. These same records, they are withholding are needed in this case as well. They will spend time transcribing podcasts and filing motions [http://inslide.com/latest.htm] to use against me though. Veganica [http://veganica.com/artist/blog.php?artistid=185&focus=783] has something to say about this also.

The Milk Mustache’ posters still hang in the cafeteria where I once worked. The same school that made me take my Art show down.

This year, when I tried discussing the Milk Mustache’ posters, I was told this was not to be discussed and furthermore, I could not do any projects that involve animals. I said I would have a hard time doing that and I need to see that in writing, otherwise I am legally bound to under Illinois character education laws. They said they would have to meet with their lawyer and discuss whether they can put their wishes in writing, and so they sent me home for the day. That was my last day in school. Instead of letting me teach kindness and compassion towards animals to the children, they chose to fire me as they were unable to legally put their non-negotiable orders in writing. This is the bottom line. 

Fox River Grove SD #3 Board of Education members voted 7-0 to terminate me and issued the above slanderous release.

During the closed door meeting on September 24th, Fox River Grove Superintendent, Jackie Krause began to laugh uncontrollably when it was noted that Warwak had received death threats and that there was a Chicago Tribune article [http://inslide.com/sweet.htm] that has Warwak on a list of people to be tasered. These are the same transcripts that the Fox River Grove Board of Education refuses to release. The same transcripts that contain discussions of the children’s health and their total disregard of the issues I brought forth. They were to busy laughing at the thought of hurting/firing me. After my allotted 1/2 hour was up, armed police (as if I was dangerous) escorted me off the school grounds while the media was there taking pictures. Later, the Board issued their pre-scripted bogus press release to complete the picture. These are the same administrators who yell at their teachers and bully them, and in the same breath, ask their teachers to teach the students not to bully, laugh at, hurt, or intimidate others. These are the lengths that administrators will go to to protect their positions which enable them to force their religious views and subsequent dogma on generations of innocent children. These are the lengths administrators will go to maintain the statuesque and hide Humane Education from teachers and students, even knowing that, Humane Education coupled with a Vegan school lunch will end school shootings, wars, solve the healthcare crisis and heal/save the earth.

The Fox River Grove SD #3 Board of Education signed for the receipt of the 1989 Realities data listed below. The Board knows of the devastating effects of their decision to ignore the students’ health and future wellbeing and instead maintain the statuesque at all costs.

Before a teacher may be dismissed for remediable conduct, he must receive a written warning to cease that conduct, but a teacher may be immediately dismissed for irremediable conduct. 105 ILCS 5/34-85 (West 1996).

The Board of Education refused to discuss these issues with me - in writing [1], which the entire board (each and every board member) signed for the appeal [2] which included the original 1989 Realites which I wanted to discuss with Mahaffy 

Also, "We hold the concept was not intended to apply to criminal conduct which has no legitimate basis in our society. Teachers, as leaders and role models, with their education and background, have the duty to implant basic societal values and qualities of good citizenship in their students. To claim that such conduct was remediable distorts the thrust and purpose of the rule. Criminal activity of this nature is conduct which cannot be remedied by a warning." McBroom, 144 Ill. App. 3d at 473-74, 494 N.E.2d at 1198." 

I did ask for something in writing (which they would not do) that says, I am not allowed to work with animals anymore, but, they could not do that, so they sent me home. That was the last time I was in school. Too, I have had no insubordination in the full 8 years at that school

c) Other pretrial motions may be resolved prior to the hearing at the discretion of the hearing officer, provided that no motion shall be resolved prior to the hearing that would result in a default judgment against the tenured teacher. 

14) The hearing shall not be considered closed until all evidence has been submitted and briefs, if allowed by the hearing officer, have been received by the hearing officer. The hearing officer shall notify the parties, in writing, of the closing date of the hearing. A copy of the notice shall be forwarded to the State Board of Education.

In direct response to Fox River Grove School District 3 letter of termination received on September 27, 2007, a hearing is now officially requested as an appeal to the wrongful termination of Dave Warwak per ILSC 105 in which a hearing on the below charges before disinterested hearing officers on a date no less than 15 nor more than 30 days after the enactment of the motion. The secretary of the school board shall forward a copy of the notice to the State Board of Education. Within 5 days after receiving this notice of hearing, the State Board of Education shall provide a list of 5 prospective, impartial hearing officers. Each person on the list must be accredited by a national arbitration organization and have had a minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to labor and employment relations matters between educational employers and educational employees or their exclusive bargaining representatives. No one on the list may be a resident of Fox River Grove, IL.

Fox River Grove School District 3 chose to ignore the Federal Trade Commission’s ruling against misleading commercial advertising in schools. I am being terminated for my response to the pro-dairy propaganda in the school cafeteria in which, I, as an Art Teacher, was educating students about the power of advertising in the Visual Arts. Specifically, how the Meat and Dairy Industry uses its influence to shape and guide the values and morals of society through indoctrination. Charges, not limited to, but include the following:

In retaliation of Dave Warwak’s performance of his official duties and in an attempt to avoid compliance and/or legal action regarding their neglect in addressing ILSC violations and other Child Endangerment issues, Jackie Krause, Timothy Mahaffy, and the Fox River Grove School District 3 Board of Education Members***, knowingly and willfully, exposed Dave Warwak to hatred, contempt, and ridicule, while Warwak was engaged in the execution of his official duties, in which, said members prevented the defendant from performing his official duties. SB0100 (720 ILCS 5/12-110) (was 720 ILCS 5/12-6) 

Sec. 12-110 12-6. Intimidation; aggravated intimidation. 

(a) Intimidation. A person commits intimidation when, with intent to cause another to perform or to omit the performance of any act, he or she communicates to another, directly or indirectly by any means whether in person, by telephone or by mail, a threat to perform without lawful authority any of the following acts: 

(1) Inflict physical harm on the person threatened or any other person or on property; or 
(2) Subject any person to physical confinement or restraint; or 
(3) Commit a felony or Class A misdemeanor any criminal offense; or 

(4) Accuse any person of an offense; or 

(5) Expose any person to hatred, contempt or ridicule; or 

(6) Take action as a public official against anyone or anything, or withhold official action, or cause such action or withholding; or 

(7) Bring about or continue a strike, boycott or other collective action. 

(b) Aggravated intimidation. A person commits aggravated intimidation when he or she violates subsection (a) and: 

(1) the person committed the offense in furtherance of the activities of an organized gang or because of the person's membership in or allegiance to an organized gang; or 

(2) the offense is committed with the intent to prevent any person from becoming a community policing volunteer; or 

(3) the following conditions are met: 

(i) the person knew that the victim was a peace officer, a correctional institution employee, a fireman, or a community policing volunteer; and 

(ii) the offense was committed while the victim was engaged in the execution of his or her official duties, to prevent the victim from performing his or her official duties, in retaliation for the victim’s performance of his or her official duties, or by reason of any person's activity as a community policing volunteer. 

(c) (b) Sentence. 

(1) Intimidation as defined in subsection (a) is a Class 3 felony for which an offender may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years.

Tim Mahaffy, as acting Principal, knowingly and willfully neglected his duties in reporting child abuse occurring in and out of Mr. Warwak’s class as required in (105 ILCS 5/34-84a.1) (from Ch. 122, par. 34-84a.1) 
Sec. 34-84a.1. Principals shall report incidents of intimidation. The principal of each attendance center shall promptly notify and report to the local law enforcement authorities for inclusion in the Department of State Police’s Illinois Uniform Crime Reporting Program each incident of intimidation of which he or she has knowledge and each alleged incident of intimidation which is reported to him or her, either orally or in writing, by any pupil or by any teacher or other certificated or non-certificated personnel employed at the attendance center. "Intimidation" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by Section 12-6 of the Criminal Code of 1961.

Every public school teacher shall teach character education, which includes the teaching of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness, and citizenship, in order to raise pupils' honesty, kindness, justice, discipline, respect for others, and moral courage for the purpose of lessening crime and raising the standard of good character.

Timothy Mahaffy, Jackie Krause, and the Fox River Grove District 3 Board Members***, knowingly and willfully withheld Moral and Humane Education from teachers of Fox River Grove School District 3 for 8 years, as required under (105 ILCS 5/27-15)(from Ch. 122, par. 27-15) 

Sec. 27-15. Moral and humane education - In institute programs. The superintendent of each region and city shall include once each year moral and humane education in the program of the teachers' institute which is held under his supervision.

Sec. 22-7. Liability for loss of funds. County superintendents, trustees of schools, township treasurers and directors, or either of them, or any other officer having charge of school funds or property, shall be pecuniarily responsible for all losses sustained by any county or township fund by reason of any failure on his or their part to perform the duties required of him or them by this Act or by any rule authorized to be made by this Act, and each of such officers shall be liable for any such loss sustained, the amount of which may be recovered in a civil action brought in the circuit court, at the suit of the State of Illinois, for the use of the county, township or fund injured. The amount of the judgment obtained in such suit shall, when collected, be paid to the proper officer for the benefit of the county, township or fund injured.

It’s a sad day when a teacher is punished for telling students the truth: that by going vegetarian they will dramatically improve their health while saving animals from cruelty so extreme it would warrant felony-level cruelty charges in the state of Illinois if the victims were dogs and cats, rather than chickens, pigs, and cows. In a time of growing violence in schools, a teacher who is bringing a message of compassion should be applauded, not punished. Students in every school should have teachers like Mr. Warwak to tell them that the “chicken nuggets” they consume in the cafeteria were once living, breathing animals who were crammed into filthy sheds and pumped full of drugs before having their throats slit while still conscious.

Mr. Warwak was also apparently distributing copies of John Robbins’ book “The Food Revolution”, which documents not just the cruelty of the meat industry, but also the environmental and health benefits of a vegetarian diet. In these days of skyrocketing childhood obesity, hopefully Mr. Warwak’s students will take this health message to heart: according to the American Dietetic Association, a vegan diet is appropriate for all ages and vegans have lower rates of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity than meat-eaters. When I heard that Dave Warwak was fired from Fox River Grove Middle School in Illinois for his attempts to teach Humane Education, I thought about Socrates who was executed thousands of years ago for his teachings. That ancient Greek philosopher was accused of “corrupting the youth.” 

I thought how any attempt to teach the truth to youth seems always to be met with opposition and resistance by those who are really corrupt and want to keep the status quo at any cost. 

Dave Warwak uses his sense of humor and his artistic talent to help make this a kinder and more gentle world. Isn’t this exactly what the world needs?

What is Humane Education?

Humane education makes the acquisition of relevant knowledge, skills, and commitment to living ethically, sustainably, and peaceably on this planet the very purpose of education. It does this by infusing the curricula at all levels of education with meaningful information, inspiration, and tools for creating a safe and humane world for all.

AHA’s primary goals were: visiting local schools to promote the development of humane education and publicizing the good works of the nation’s humane societies.

Quality humane education uses a four-element approach that includes:

• Providing accurate information about the interrelated issues of human rights, environmental preservation, animal protection, and culture. • Teaching critical thinking so students can discern fact from opinion and resist forms of manipulation, whether from advertising, media, peers, or social norms. • Inspiring the 3 Rs of reverence, respect, and responsibility so students will have both the passion for, and the commitment to, bringing about positive change. • Offering choices for both individual decision-making and group problem-solving so that students can become part of a growing effort to develop sustainable, peaceful, and humane systems by which to live.

Persecuting Men of Vision

A book burning was held recently. Welcome to the new United States of America, a place in which Homeland Security means protecting our children against subversive ideas such as the promotion of compassion to animals. Such as the vegetarian lifestyle.

A vegan teacher dared to distribute books by John Robbins to his students. Those books were joyously burned at a barbecue in which animals were roasted by members of an Illinois community. What was his crime?

Let me quote Mrs. Lovett in the Johnny Depp movie, Sweeney Todd, brilliantly directed by Tim Burton. When asked what crime a barber was prosecuted for and transported away for a life of hard labor in a ship’s galley, she responded, “His crime? Foolishness.”

In real-life 21t century terms, Dave Warwak’s middle school crime was to inspire his art students (just as Peter Max once did) that compassion to animals and people was a blessing and not a crime.

Vegan America – Revolt!

Seems we have revolution here in America erupting under our noses and there is not much we can do about it. This revolution pits compassionate children against their uncaring parents. The revolution even has a name, “Vegan America – Revolt!” The revolution was born from incidents surrounding Dave Warwak and his persistent attempts to teach Humane Education at Fox River Grove Middle School in Illinois.
 
Warwak explains, “The adult meat-eaters in the world no longer have a choice in this matter. This revolution belongs to the children. The children of today are smart and want a better world. They are tired of the shape of things. The children of today deserve better and do not want war, starvation, pollution, death, and destruction. They want and deserve a healthy and loving world. Just ask a child, you will see.” He then instructs those against his ideas to, “Go off in the corner with your roast beef sandwich, while we build a better World. We want the future and we want it now.”
 
Warwak believes the adults in charge want to hide information from children and that it is the duty of every vegan and animal rights activist in the world to let the children around them know the truth. He proposes telling children wherever they may be and even goes on to give strategies. “It can be as simple as a business card with a message that you slip to children whenever and wherever you see them”. Warwak believes children are the transmission of society and for things to change, we have to be honest with our children.
 
Vegans, Animal Rights Activist, and Humane Educators have embarked on a major campaign to educate the youth of America. Warwak explains, “We have some of the world’s best minds conferring the connections to Humane Education, the environment, health, wellbeing, truth, school shootings and violence in general, including war and ultimately, our fate”. Warwak might be on to something as we talked with the author of the ‘World Peace Diet’, Dr. Will Tuttle, who confirmed, “I think this new idea of giving kids cards with a secret on them is terrific. Let them discover for themselves. That is most empowering. And the ‘secret’ idea is brilliant. Kids love secrets. They know deep down that things are being hidden from them. So much is hidden - not just from the kids, but from the big boys & girls running around calling themselves adults.” Dr. Tuttle goes on to say, “This is the hidden secret root of it all – Warwak has his hand right on it”.
 
The campaign consists of passing out small business cards to children wherever they may be. “Thanks to compassionate people and their extensive connections all over the world, animal rights groups, vegetarians, vegans, and humane educators will be passing out business cards to children wherever they may be.” Warwak adds, “Groups are hitting the streets, during times when children are most likely to be out and about. Groups are already planning on a full force presence on Halloween. Even vegans who stay home will be passing out vegan candies accompanied by a message of love.” Then Warwak proudly proclaimed, “So far today, I passed out 34 cards!”

The Animal Liberation Front has joined in and devoted a full page on their site promoting the campaign. When asked, to explain why he is so passionate about telling children the truth and changing his school into a vegan school, Warwak responded, “I can’t understand why they are fighting so hard against something so good. The World is behind us and prepared to help. There is every reason in the world for the school to go vegan and not one single reason to do otherwise” PETA’s Vice President, Bruce Friedberg is offering to help Fox River Grove Middle School with its transition to a vegan diet “We'll pay for food for a week, get vegan chefs in to help and consult,  whatever”. The “Chicago Animal Rights Meetup Group”, “Mercy for Animals”, and other groups around the world are prepared to step in and help in hopes FRGMS becomes the first vegan public school in America. Could this revolution be inevitable, whether, we wanted change or not?

Just Teach Art
 
They say, “Just teach Art”. How about I come tell the world how you should be doing your job – even though you do it everyday to your best ability and I really know nothing about it. Do these self-proclaimed Art experts know what Art is? Or better yet, how to tell a real Artist from a sell out fraud. The sell out frauds got jobs for corp. America as commercial Artists. These are the people that used a special talent, the power of Art in concert with corp. America and brainwashed our parents, and their parents, and us in to believing Meat and Dairy is good and right. This hereditary ignorance continues today and it starts in Public Schools who conveniently happen to be afraid of change. Now when I say to my Art students that I want them to learn how to critically analyze their world so they can learn the truth about their world and how to deal with it. Talk about preparing Children for the future. Then I say; now let’s take a look at how Artists shape our world and drive morals and values. And so we visually analyze the Milk Mustache Ads in our cafeteria to find a perfect example of how Art has the power to shape our world. And with this knowledge, we can use it for good and reshape our world into a better one than our parents care to leave us. My 8th grade students are wonderful and I love them very much. For me to perpetuate this myth in fear of what uniformed know-it-alls might say about my Art teachings or in fear of losing my job or any other fear/excuse, I would have to abandon humanity. So, for all those who know more than I do about teaching, art, and morals, I am willing to always entertain new information. It is just these same ignorant remarks, partial truths, and twisting of things, I do not appreciate.

Because, I have now made these things evident, we have a duty to act on them. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. Any school that helps to fund Factory Farming, and more importantly, uses beings of “lesser” worth, needs to re-examine the real message they are sending Children. It is no wonder that some of our young FRG Students drive knives through the centers of frogs’ bodies to watch them squirm and wiggle, as they die an unimaginable and horrifically slow death – do you see the connection or do you shrug it off as boys-being boys. Teaching these same boys a reverence for life is really the end of war, school shootings, and violence in society. Additionally, this is the answer to pollution, our medical crisis, and a whole catalog of societies’ ills. Knowingly, setting up children to live shorter lives, filled with illness and disrespect, and knowingly funding the misery, death, and destruction of the earth when you are given information that will do the contrary, is a crime against humanity. This is not the type of employer I want to work for, nor, is it the legacy I want my generation to leave for our beautiful, innocent, and loving Children who trust us to do the right thing. Too, is it that people understand that it is absurd for men to sit around and talk about whether a woman should be permitted to have an abortion, but then, a child should not be able to think about things regarding their own lives. As soon as a child is old enough to pick up a fork, they should be told the truth. Animals are not ours to do whatever the damn well we please with. If Children trust us to make decisions for them, shouldn't we be absolutely certain it is good and right? Furthermore, shouldn’t we always be willing to discuss these issues instead of avoiding them in fear of change?
 
Please, I am tired of this, it is my choice, my kid, none of your biz - I say, then home school your kid, because, otherwise your child will most likely, spend 45 minutes a day with someone who cares enough to look into the truth, but then, you might look bad. No longer a personal choice when it infringes on others and the future of humankind. If a child insists on eating Animals, he can bring them from home, but Public School has no place serving Factory Farming’s dirty little secrets to our trusting and unsuspecting students. Lastly, how telling it is of our ignorance, to find we only consider our real, true friends, when we see they can help us in some way.

Strange - I never had any training inservices about being humane to Animals in my 8 years with the district. I was never trained - none of us have been! Schools all over. Superintendants want the lazy easy road. Ever notice how they cringe when you ask them to read something. They say, Oh, looks long. And then they hope maybe you won't follow up, then they say, not yet, and eventually they say, they will never read it. Even when I say it is grave and serious! This man has a Doctorate in Brain Research and he can't look at some simple stats on an e-mail? The 1989 Realities. These are the tactics Admins use. They hide info from teachers, and heaven forbid, a teacher finds out, they make it impossible to teach Humane Education at every step of the way. And I never backed down and did it anyway. Now here we are, .......

Dave Warwak received a strong warning today from his hometown police.

The warning came in response to complaints from parents and teachers who were in attendance at the town's annual homecoming parade.

Accompanied by his dog, Warwak allegedly entered the parade and passed out small cards to children.

Police stopped Warwak, escorted him home and instructed him to “stay away from the town’s children”.

At particular issue with police was Warwak telling children, Santa Claus is not real.

A teacher of ten years in Illinois, Warwak was recently fired for his vegan views.
Warwak filed an appeal in response to his termination. No date has been set.

When someone says, "What Mr. Warwak is doing is evangelism and indoctrination" - - I think what weird stuff - pure and simple, why do we even entertain such thoughts? Were you in the room? I told them not to believe me. I just wanted to show them a different way. How come these same people are not smearing the real indoctrinators like the meat and dairy and our evil, tow-the-line administrations in Public Schools - blowing off their duties. A lot of people accusing me of brainwashing or what ever are going to feel real gullible when they find the truth - the teachers do everything they can and still walk the tight line. I went outside their line to see how far I could go. Not very far as you can see. However, now the truth has set us free even though I no longer teach there, it was never about me. It was them. And if you care to see how evil and widespread this bust is - go to my web - Schools in Illinois must start enforcing teachers to teach Humane Education as a foundation to link, give meaning, and worth to all disciplines so the student gets it. No more, why do we need to know this? Everything relates to their world here and now - and believe me, it matters to them. In addition, there is no earthly reason to cry about any aspect of Humane Education – These are not my personal beliefs and all my students know first hand not to believe anything I say, because many times I tell them falsehoods as a test, to see if they can be fooled. My students appreciate learning how to see/view (I teach art) the real world and how to disseminate meaning and intent. You are moaning so loudly at me for indoctrination, Can’t you see the Milk Mustache posters hanging in every generations face ---- all because administrators are afraid of change – i.e.; Humane Education = Veganism = look it up, you tell me why Admin’s are purposefully blowing off Illinois State Code and then going out of their way to impose their religious views on policies that stress conformity at such great lengths to suppress and smear – to them, change=work
Apathy and ignorance in charge all over the state of Illinois and most likely the country – Ignoring Illinois directives just leads to more school shootings and of course more daily servings of sleuth remnants covered in sugary glaze slapped on a plastic tray and sent on their way. Then we wonder why the low-income child is disrespectful after lunch. In addition, ignorance and apathy cannot handle any sort of work, so they recommend meds –score - more money for Pharm, Doc, Meat, and Dairy. What a beautiful machine they have devised. And so it goes, young Stephan, who weighs 300 lbs, sets his plastic lunch tray down, loaded with three thousand different animal parts and other misc nasties all shaped into three glossy, sweet smelling ribbwiches, looks over his shoulder and pulls out a gun and starts shooting – and everyone is mad at me just for mentioning something that is different. I say the more kids that know; the faster this world will change. 
Wherever you are, go tell a kid to go look up factory farming on the web. As soon as they are able to pick up a fork - after all, what are you hiding and why would you want to continue hiding it – that is pure evil. Oh, I forgot, you wanted me to accept your rational to respect their decision even though it is wrong and then that same doofus claims the child is too young to make the correct decision and how dare you show those things. Stop all the whining. Schools all across Illinois and the country for that matter are snuggling up real nice and tight with meat and dairy and will resist change as I just showed. This is the thing I am fighting. Hereditary Ignorance – stop playing by their rules – it is not their game – do not buy into it. Just imagine what a beautiful world it would be if we told all the kids. – I have to go cry now – back - They deserve what we deserved. I am mad that I am a product of Illinois Schools and I never had any Humane Education in my 44 years and when I found it on my own and I wonder why I did not see it. Now I see why, and I get even more mad and then I see this killing machine in motion with all its systems in place and I fight it to find – it is a weak and lazy opponent in reality – the truth is out and now I am going to press it – how can this go on?

Are you asking me to hide information from them, about their own lives? That they can live an extra five to 10 years. Never have to worry about a heart attack, or stroke, or a list of nasty cancers. Are you asking me to go along with this dirty little secret a few more thousand years? Are you asking me not to care? What is wrong with people? Do you want me to feel bad for not caring about you enough, as I could not help you all hide this evil thing? Please, WAKE UP - Should not even be an issue. A Child should grow up for a reverence for all life. We are robbing them of what I wish we had. Illinois School Code mandates Humane Education. Why would anyone not want Humane Education? The Administrators are afraid of change. I have all the evidence against them. Do not believe everything you read. This is not about me. They want everyone to think that. It is about them.
All across this great land of ours, Administrators are afraid of change. Change equals work. The educational system is broken and Humane Education can fix it. And it is what the State of Illinois wants. How can something so broken be fixed, when those in control are afraid of change. So much so, they are willing to trade in others lives. This is a crime. Not knowing is one thing. Knowing and withholding - WOW! Proof is right here. They want me out and silent but I stood up to them and now here we are we are, all standing on our heads. If I am so wrong, why am I still collecting a check? At this very moment, they are scrambling to smear me, but, they have nothing and they have no defense for their bizarre reactions. So they make me out to be the bad guy.
Read how they are so wrong, on so many levels, and now the World knows. All the evidence is there. Let's stop hiding Factory Farming’s' dirty little secret. Tell your child the truth and do not expect me to help cover your weaknesses. I will speak the truth even if you are too ashamed. Education should be teaching compassion and how to discern truth from our lies. The fate of Humanity is in the hands of the Meat and Dairy Industry. Is this acceptable? Judging from their treatment of Animals and Humans, they view us as equals. Looks like they got one thing right. Why would you want to inflict such pain on your own Children who will live shorter sicker lives because of your lack of strength to face the truth? What happens when your Child finds, you lied to them, and helped hide valuable information from them? Do you really want them to be uncaring like you? You can bet the Milk and Dairy Industry wants them to be just like you. So much so, they start your Children young, while you are at work. They know Children are the transmission of society. Can't you see how important it is to stop this madness? Do not let the Milk and Dairy industries determine the fate of our race. And please people, please, remember do not believe everything you read, see (Art), or hear. Because really, isn't that how this whole thing got started?

People, people, people, please, settle down - take a break - go read up on Vegan or Humane Education or Factory Farming - then please come back in a few hours and leave your Ignorance at the door and stay on topic with real knowledge of both sides. I know your side well. Remember, I am a product of your World. I was a Fishing Guide and on Atkins, so I understand how we grow up to believe certain things. Those Milk Mustache posters hanging in a place that stands for truth is a crime when we know otherwise. This is where Hereditary Ignorance remains alive. It is killing us. Be honest and change for our Children.

            I think the average American would be appalled to find out what goes on in those sheds in the distance. You are busted FACTORY FARMING - THE GIG IS UP - WE ARE SICK OF IT! Where is the love and compassion in people? Have we become so hardened and disconnected that we are willing to just die off. I KNOW THE CHILDREN WANT A BETTER WORLD - JUST AS I DID AND STILL DO - DO IT FOR OUR CHILDREN I want everyone who knows of Factory Farming to go to your nearest mountaintop and scream out at the top of your lungs, “FACTORY FARMING” so loud, in hopes the Children will hear you. I want them to hear. They still have sense and can see how wrong it really is. Children understand. Stop hiding it from them. Do you want your Children growing up in a confused World full of death, destruction, violence and hate?             The Meat and Dairy Industry in grand concert with the loving Government getting their hold in Schools, brainwashed us in childhood, just as they did our parents, and theirs, and now our very own Children. Why do we fight so hard for them to continue such an evil legacy? Lazy Ignorance hates work and change. Lazy Ignorance only changes when it is forced to change. Our ever so loving Meat and Dairy Industries in joyous harmony with our beautiful Government know this and have placed their wonderful killing machine in place with all its wondrous safeguards. These same loving people try to unload this horrific-sleuth they call food on other countries. Europe will not even consider it. So we call it surplus and it sits around, and sits around. And so it goes, generously rammed down our innocent and ever so trusting Children’s mouths.
Records, paperwork, and a few too many sick Children, and our loving friends have a recall of millions of pounds of ground Animals, only to find, most has been already consumed (or Lazy Ignorance neglects to find Recall Info and the poison is eaten later), a few thousand pounds in all actuality are returned, which our loving friends then feed back to the Animals (turning them from herbivore to cannibal), your Child will eat later. And still, we fight to keep it in our Children’s schools. HEREDITARY IGNORANCE IS STRONG! Selling out our own Children and the fate of the Human Race. This is not just about diet. Do not believe everything you see. The World is an illusion. Wake up. There are many things all around us made from Animals that we never notice. We are so disconnected; we do not even notice this right in front of our face three times a day. When we open our circle of compassion to all, we grow as a people and our treatment of each other and others improves. It really is about peace, love, and compassion for all. How many more school shootings until we wake-up? Humane Education=Veganism=VEGAN AMERICA is the answer.
When we look into the Ancients’ Artworks, you see the hidden history. This information is the drop of water deep inside a rock that bursts it open when the freeze comes. It is not in any textbook or lecture. The Ancients were telling us how to survive in their Art. The messages all the same, every time, over and over again. Do we want better for our Children? If not, screw you, I ask them, and every time, they say they want to live longer, healthier lives in a healthy loving world. Don’t you want that for them? Most know this and that, and only, this and that; but, limited perspectives are stagnant when the bigger, more important reality is contained in this and that and everything else. You will see the connections of diet to starvation, disease, pollution, its all there, takes 5 to 10 minutes for the average person to make the connections. People simply do not know about Factory Farming, Veganism, Humane Education, or any of the other implications. Most people never have time to think of such things. We need to slow down, even for 10 minutes and read. The majority of people suppress themselves by adopting systems of thoughts and actions shaped by their own perceived desires of those in control. There is no magic bullet to cure cancer, heart disease, stroke, and on, and on. Prevention is the cure, leave your bandage solutions at home and do a little research. The best diet is Vegan. The science is out, PLEASE LET GO OF THE STONE AGE – THIS IS 2007. Our Children need this. The Human race and the future of Earth hinges on this. Your kids, family, and self all dieing of hideous cancers, heart attacks, strokes, and the list is a mile long – do some research and you will see. Oh how well I know, how Lazy Ignorance hates to read at all costs, after all, it might lead to change=work.
Bad men are just immature selfish little boys who have acquired the power to prevent reason from taking away their toys. The Factory Farming Industry in concert with our loving Government has created the most horrific killing machine that is spiraling out of control. The only way to stop this is through Education Reform. Teaching our youth a philosophy of respect, responsibility, and love of life=Humane Education=Veganism. No more time will be spent arguing with Hereditary Ignorance. Generation after generation slips through our hands playing this silent game of “we don’t want to scare them with the truth” mentality. This mentality is the same mentality of Hereditary Ignorance that wants to drag this out a few thousand more years. Sorry, we won’t last that long. It really is now or never.
Every kid in America should know where their food comes from as soon as they can pick up a fork. Scarfing down a burger on the run is the ultimate insult to the hundred, or so, cows, mixed in the grind for your heartless gluttony. And if you are to afraid to be honest, Public Schools have no place in helping you hide your weak character and lack of respect and lack of responsibility. People with weak values blindly adopt the values of society, with no regard for right or wrong. Children are the key to saving our race, as a people, on this planet, for they are the transmission of society. Maybe you did not know that. The Meat and Dairy Industry knows how important it is to Indoctrinate our Children with a constant reminder, rammed down their innocent eyes, hanging on the walls of an institution that Children are Indoctrinated into TRUSTING FOR TRUTH – NOT TO HIDE SOCIETIES ILLS.

To leave the responsibility of “The Talk” to the parents, does not work, because most parents do not know, as, they themselves, are brainwashed and desperately cling to their Hereditary Ignorance, for without it, their world crumbles apart. The crumbling should not be feared, for this is your part in the evolution of the Human Race, and your awakening into who, you really are.
Children never grow and “Find out themselves”, when they are old enough to decide what is right and then make it a personal choice. Until then, have you decided correctly for them, and we wait and hide the truth, until when? They never know. It took me 43 years to figure it out. It is very well hidden. Public School should be one place that delivers the truth in the form of healthy, nutritious food that is not the product of the suffering or demise of another being. Animals are not ours to eat, wear, or use in any other way.
This is how the Hereditary Ignorance continues. Schools are one place that should teach students how to see the world as it really is. This is every Teacher’s job. The Art Teacher does it best though. Real Artists are really Teachers. We deal with the real world. People really do believe everything we see. You may have said, “I saw it with my own eyes!” Instead of teaching our children what to know, let them find themselves and how to decipher our falsehoods. Why would anyone want their child to live a lie and die early in a dieing World? Who would want to be involved with Factory Farming in any way? Who would want to ignore TRUTH? Who would want to hide TRUTH? Answer: People who believe what the people they trusted told them.
Just because we enter into a world with little humanity and know of no other, does not mean we have to accept all we have ever known to be singular, indisputable, and real. The truth is we can make this world better, right here, right now. In the great words of Sitting Bull, “Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children” No more School shootings=Vegan America. After all is said and done, history cares not of pride, nor, conformists, only to a gasp at how primitive they must have been; whereas, we always remember those who are able to change with great reverence, for they put aside pride and refused to conform to evil. In direct response to Fox River Grove School District 3 letter of termination received on September 27, 2007, a hearing is now officially requested as an appeal to the wrongful termination of Dave Warwak per ILSC 105 in which a hearing on the below charges before disinterested hearing officers on a date no less than 15 nor more than 30 days after the enactment of the motion. The secretary of the school board shall forward a copy of the notice to the State Board of Education. Within 5 days after receiving this notice of hearing, the State Board of Education shall provide a list of 5 prospective, impartial hearing officers. Each person on the list must be accredited by a national arbitration organization and have had a minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to labor and employment relations matters between educational employers and educational employees or their exclusive bargaining representatives. No one on the list may be a resident of Fox River Grove, IL.
Fox River Grove School District 3 chose to ignore the Federal Trade Commission’s ruling against misleading commercial advertising in schools. I am being terminated for my response to the pro-dairy propaganda in the school cafeteria in which, I, as an Art Teacher, was educating students about the power of advertising in the Visual Arts. Specifically, how the Meat and Dairy Industry uses its influence to shape and guide the values and morals of society through indoctrination. Charges, not limited to, but include the following:
In retaliation of Dave Warwak's performance of his official duties and in an attempt to avoid compliance and/or legal action regarding their neglect in addressing ILSC violations and other Child Endangerment issues, Jackie Krause, Timothy Mahaffy, and the Fox River Grove School District 3 Board of Education Members***, knowingly and willfully, exposed Dave Warwak to hatred, contempt, and ridicule, while Warwak was engaged in the execution of his official duties, in which, said members prevented the defendant from performing his official duties. SB0100 (720 ILCS 5/12-110) (was 720 ILCS 5/12-6) 
     Sec. 12-110 12-6. Intimidation; aggravated intimidation. 
    (a) Intimidation. A person commits intimidation when, with intent to cause another to perform or to omit the performance of any act, he or she communicates to another, directly or indirectly by any means whether in person, by telephone or by mail, a threat to perform without lawful authority any of the following acts: 
(1) Inflict physical harm on the person threatened or any other person or on property; or 
(2) Subject any person to physical confinement or restraint; or 
(3) Commit a felony or Class A misdemeanor any criminal offense; or 
(4) Accuse any person of an offense; or 
(5) Expose any person to hatred, contempt or ridicule; or 
(6) Take action as a public official against anyone or anything, or withhold official   action, or cause such action or withholding; or 
(7) Bring about or continue a strike, boycott or other collective action. 
      (b) Aggravated intimidation. A person commits aggravated intimidation when he or she violates subsection (a) and: 
         (1) the person committed the offense in furtherance of the activities of an organized gang or because of the person's membership in or allegiance to an organized gang; or 
         (2) the offense is committed with the intent to prevent any person from becoming a community policing volunteer; or 
         (3) the following conditions are met: 
              (i) the person knew that the victim was a peace officer, a correctional institution employee, a fireman, or a community policing volunteer; and 
             (ii) the offense was committed while the victim was engaged in the execution of his or her official duties, to prevent the victim from performing his or her official duties, in retaliation for the victim's performance of his or her official duties, or by reason of any person's activity as a community policing volunteer. 
    (c) (b) Sentence. 
(1) Intimidation as defined in subsection (a) is a Class 3 felony for which an offender may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years.
Tim Mahaffy, as acting Principal, knowingly and willfully neglected his duties in reporting child abuse occurring in and out of Mr. Warwak’s class as required in (105 ILCS 5/34-84a.1) (from Ch. 122, par. 34-84a.1) 
    Sec. 34-84a.1. Principals shall report incidents of intimidation. The principal of each attendance center shall promptly notify and report to the local law enforcement authorities for inclusion in the Department of State Police's Illinois Uniform Crime Reporting Program each incident of intimidation of which he or she has knowledge and each alleged incident of intimidation which is reported to him or her, either orally or in writing, by any pupil or by any teacher or other certificated or non-certificated personnel employed at the attendance center. "Intimidation" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by Section 12-6 of the Criminal Code of 1961.

Timothy Mahaffy, as acting Principal, knowingly and willfully prevented Dave Warwak from performing his said duties as described under (105 ILCS 5/27-12)(from Ch. 122, par. 27-12) 
    Sec. 27-12. Character education. Every public school teacher shall teach character education, which includes the teaching of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness, and citizenship, in order to raise pupils' honesty, kindness, justice, discipline, respect for others, and moral courage for the purpose of lessening crime and raising the standard of good character.

Timothy Mahaffy, Jackie Krause, and the Fox River Grove District 3 Board Members***, knowingly and willfully withheld Moral and Humane Education from teachers of Fox River Grove School District 3 for 8 years, as required under (105 ILCS 5/27-15)(from Ch. 122, par. 27-15) 
    Sec. 27-15. Moral and humane education - In institute programs. The superintendent of each region and city shall include once each year moral and humane education in the program of the teachers' institute which is held under his supervision.

Fox River Grove District 3 Board Members***, Gerry Blohm, Steve Knar, Tom Mollet, Susan McGarrigle, Lisa Anderson, Kris Germain, and Pat Hughes are personally liable as described under (105 ILCS 5/22-7) (from Ch. 122, par. 22-7) 
    Sec. 22-7. Liability for loss of funds. County superintendents, trustees of schools, township treasurers and directors, or either of them, or any other officer having charge of school funds or property, shall be pecuniarily responsible for all losses sustained by any county or township fund by reason of any failure on his or their part to perform the duties required of him or them by this Act or by any rule authorized to be made by this Act, and each of such officers shall be liable for any such loss sustained, the amount of which may be recovered in a civil action brought in the circuit court, at the suit of the State of Illinois, for the use of the county, township or fund injured. The amount of the judgment obtained in such suit shall, when collected, be paid to the proper officer for the benefit of the county, township or fund injured.

Fox River Grove, IL: School District 3 officials have denied Dave Warwak's appeal for transcripts.

Recently fired for telling his students to keep veganism a secret, Warwak claims to have never said the word secret. "I said the exact opposite. The last thing I want is for veganism to be a secret”.

Warwak is asking for time to review transcripts so he may prepare his defense. At particular issue with Warwak are records from the Sept. 24 closed-door meeting in which he was terminated.

District attorney, Robert Riley feels surrendering transcripts from past meetings is an issue for the hearing officer to address on the day of the hearing.

School officials and Warwak did manage to get together on one item of contention. Through a process of elimination, they agreed to allow Edward L. Suntrup PhD to hear the controversial case. Suntrup, known for his unwavering neutrality, was selected from a list of five potential hearing officers provided by the Illinois State Board of Education.

A tenured teacher of 10 years, Warwak has been at odds with his school over their lunch program since April.

The hearing is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 19th.
